Mag Mountd Diaries
Vol.1 Ep.1: Featuring Cogo
The Brief
The Approach
The Outcome
Mag Mountd wanted to move beyond being a functional product and build a stronger connection with the snowboard community. The goal was to create a content series that celebrated the stories, memories, and identity behind every board — positioning Mag Mountd as a brand that preserves the culture of riding long after the season ends.
The brief called for an authentic documentary approach that captured the personality of riders, the emotional connection to their equipment, and the moments that make snowboarding more than just a sport.
The film was built around a character-led documentary format, focusing on Cogo’s relationship with snowboarding and the stories carried through his board. Rather than focusing solely on the product, the visual approach centred around the rider — capturing personal reflections, moments with his crew, and the environments that shape his experience on the mountain.
Through intimate interviews, observational footage, and cinematic snow sequences, the film balances authenticity with a premium visual language. Every detail — from the marks on the board to the moments shared between riders — reinforces the idea that equipment becomes a record of the experiences attached to it.
Mag Mountd Diaries Vol.1 Ep.1 establishes the foundation for an ongoing storytelling platform built around community and identity. The film transforms the board from a piece of equipment into a symbol of personal history — celebrating the people, places, and memories behind every ride.
The result is a documentary series that gives Mag Mountd a deeper role within the snow community: not just displaying boards, but preserving the stories that make them meaningful.
